Kaimanawa Forest Park

The backyard. Thirty minutes drive from home, and a bit of walking effort takes you into the stunning Kaimanawa Ranges. Views to Ruapehu and beyond on a good day. I enjoy both tops travel & camping in the river valley here. A truly special place and an easy escape spot for weekends off-grid.
